“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…”

We would like to thank everyone for their prayers for all of our missions this past summer.  We ask that you continue to pray for God to lead us to more mission opportunities for the upcoming year.  We would also like for you to pray about being involved in some type of mission work whether it be local, on a state level, national level or international level.  This song talks about doing everything that we do to the glory of God.  That is the mission of our heart, to do EVERYTHING that we do to His glory!  We need to be a people that are more geared to this way of thinking.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20

Sweet Endings!

Today we met with Big Rock Baptist church for their Sunday worship service.  It was a wonderful time of worship.  Kasey & Mary Ann had children's church (3-5 year olds & grades 1-6) & Kaylah had the nursery.  We were able to give some of the Big Rock Baptist Church workers a break from these activities.  After the service we had Potluck.  The food was great!  We made chicken delight and a cake for the potluck.  Needless to say, the chicken delight was ALL GONE!  We have all had a wonderful week and a worshipful day today.  We will be leaving tomorrow morning at 4 a.m. from our houses, and our flight leaves at 7 a.m.  Please pray for us as we travel.  We love you guys, and we thank you so much for holding the rope for us!

Happy Canada Day! (a day late)

Yesterday was Canada Day.  We were able to work with Big Rock Baptist Church and the City of Okotoks at their local celebration.  We met at the park at 8:30 a.m. We had Tim Horton's (Bucky's Favorite Coffee place) coffee and donuts, then we helped set up everything for all of the booths.  The activities started at 12:00 a.m. and ended at 4:00 p.m.  Bucky & Kristie worked at the food table serving lunches and drinks, Jeff worked cooking the hamburgers and hot dogs, Zach worked at the soccer arena, Ed worked at a jumpie, Kent & Micaela worked at the obstacle course, Kasey, Mary Ann, and Kaylah worked at the Cotton Candy/ Popcorn booth. There was also a petting zoo, a dunk tank, and some local talent performed.  After Canada Day, and we were able to go watch the Okotok Dawgs baseball game.  It was a great game, and the Dawgs WON!!  Bucky even said "GO DAWGS!!"  After the game they had a firework show over the stadium.  Today, we met up and had a debriefing, then we went and prayer walked and put up flyers about VBS  through Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Millarville, Aldersyde and De Winton. We had dinner together as a team tonight, and Bucky & Ed grilled hamburgers. We will be meeting with Brett tonight for another debriefing/devotion time.  Tomorrow we will attend church at Big Rock Baptist Church then enjoy a potluck dinner with them.

This is the sky at about 9:25 p.m.!

Canada Eh?

Our team is doing great.  Last night we got together at Brett & Danielle's House (the pastor and his wife) for a Midweek service with Big Rock Baptist Church.  There were 27 people there which included us, the Tennessee Team, the Wyoming Team, Pincher Creek, Alberta team, and the Big Rock Baptist Church members.  We had a wonderful time of worship led by the Tennessee Team + Kristie (these students will be here all summer), after worship Bucky led us in our devotion.  It was a wonderful time of worship with fellow believers.  Today, Bucky, Zach, Ed, Kent, Kaylah, Micaela, and the College Team went to prayer walk through the city of okotoks.  Jeff, Kasey, & Mary Ann made candy apples for Canada Day (equivelent to our 4th of July).  Tonight, there will be a youth meeting in Nanton which is about 45 minutes away from where we are staying.  Zach will be leading that service, Kent and Kaylah will be sharing their testimonies there, and the College team will lead worship.  Bucky, Kasey, Mary Ann, Ed, and Jeff will be going to a Canada Day meeting to get our assignments and find out more about our responsibilities as a team.  There will be around 3,000 people in attendance at Canada Day.  Please pray that GOD will give our team eyes to see and ears to hear, and that God will give us some divine appointments with the people of Okotoks and surrounding communities. Also, please continue to pray for the College team that will be here all summer.  We appreciate all of your prayers and support!

News Straight From Canada

We are having a blast!  Brett and Danielle have been wonderful hosts.  Bucky, Jeff, Ed, Kent, Kaylah, Micaela and Zach are staying at one house, and Mary Ann and Myself are staying at another house, and Kristie will be staying with the other college girl that is here for the summer.   Everyone has been so gracious to help us with anything we need.  The weather here has been wonderful, although the mosquitoes are bad because of the rain they've experienced in the past few weeks.  Monday, when we flew in, we were picked up at the airport by Brett, and one of the college students.  We had a bible study at Brett & Danielle's house, then we went to our houses to settle in.  Tuesday, we started our sight seeing by driving two hours though the foothills to the Canadian Rockies.  We made our way from Lake Louise, down to Johnston's Canyon, then to Banff National Park.  Today, Mary Ann, Jeff, and I helped Brett & Danielle prepare for lunch, and serve the teachers at the school where Big Rock Baptist Church meets.  We still have many things to do today, and the rest of the week.  We will keep you updated!

Keep Holding The Rope,
